CBD - Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound found naturally in hemp plants. Medical research supports how CBD may encourage a sense of peace and balance in human beings and pets. CBD is non-intoxicating, so you can add CBD to your daily routine without it creating an altered state of mind. CBD Afford chooses vendors whose CBD products offer consumers a way to a healthier, happier lifestyle through their natural, plant-based CBD products. CBD is in the national news, and all the information out there can get overwhelming, that’s why CBD Afford will serve as a resource for you as you learn more about how to support your own health with the addition of CBD.

Can you get high from CBD?

CBD is non-intoxicating and will not produce the high associated with THC. THC is the chemical that produces a “High”. CBD has Non-Detectable THC at most and is filtered out leaving 100% pure, natural CBD. Green Roads CBD products will NOT get you high.

Is there THC in CBD?

The CBD products we sell have less than 0.3% THC in their products. Drug tests will not detect such low levels of THC.
Green Roads’ CBD is extracted from industrial hemp plants, which by law can have no more than 0.3% THC. This is already not enough to produce a high. We then reduce the THC content in our products further, all the way down to Non-Detectable (ND) levels to reassure our customers that our products are non-intoxicating.

Will I fail a drug test?

The CBD products we sell have less than 0.3% THC in their products. Drug tests will not detect such low levels of THC.

Is a prescription required?

No, a medical card or prescription is not needed to place an order.

What is the difference between hemp and marijuana?

The defining difference between marijuana and hemp is the percentage of THC. Marijuana refers to strains of cannabis that contain high levels of THC. Hemp refers to strains of cannabis containing Non-Detectable THC.

What is the difference between CBD oil and other hemp products for sale?

Hemp products at the grocery store are processed from hemp seeds, which are high in protein and healthy nutrients, but contain almost no CBD oil.

How long does it typically take for my order to arrive?

You should receive your order within 3-5 business days.

What is the shelf life of CBD products?

Our products are good up to 6 to 8 months after the purchase date. For best results, store at room temperature.

What is a terpene?

Terpenes are organic compounds from plants that give fruits and flowers their taste, aroma, and specific scent. We offer CBD terpenes, which are oils with terpenes, for their amazing flavors, and to tap into a phenomenon known as the “entourage effect”. This effect is based on research which suggests that multiple compounds within a hemp plant interact with the body for greater potential impact. The terpenes in cannabis not only produce a specific aroma, but they contribute to the difference between strains of cannabis.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a group of cannabinoid receptors in your brain and nervous system. CBD interacts with cannabinoid receptors which keeps your body in balance.

Can CBD be used on pets?

Yes, you can add CBD to your pet’s daily health routine to promote your pets’ mind and body wellness. CBD oil servings vary based on pet age and size. We recommend placing 0.5ml – 1ml in your pet’s mouth under the tongue or between the cheek and gum once daily. If it is your first time giving your pet CBD oil, start with the lowest serving size. You can begin to increase the serving size as you monitor how your pet reacts to the oil. Consult your veterinarian before administering.
